Hey friends! Today we are going to learn about something very important - how to show respect for Kenya’s national flag. The flag is a symbol of our country and it’s important that we treat it with respect. So, let’s get started!

Firstly, when the flag is raised, we need to stand up straight and face it. We can put our right hand on our heart or by our side. Can you all stand up and show me how you would stand when the flag is raised? Great job!

Secondly, we need to make sure that the flag never touches the ground. If it falls down, we need to pick it up right away and put it back up. Can you all show me how we can pick up the flag if it falls down? Awesome!

Thirdly, we should not change the flag in any way by drawing on it or adding things to it. The flag should be treated gently and carefully. When it’s not being used, it should be folded up neatly. Can you all show me how we can fold the flag neatly? Wow, you guys are doing great!

Fourthly, the flag is not a decoration, so it shouldn’t be used as a tablecloth or clothing. When the flag is being flown, it should be higher than any other flags and visible to everyone. Can you all show me how we can make sure that the flag is higher than any other flags? You guys are doing so well!

Lastly, there are special days when the flag is raised, like Independence Day, Madaraka Day, and Jamhuri Day, so it’s important to be aware of these days and show respect to the flag on these occasions. Can you all tell me what are the special days when the flag is raised? Great job, you guys are so smart!

So, that’s all for today’s lesson on how to show respect for Kenya’s national flag. Remember, the flag is a symbol of our country and it’s important that we treat it with respect. Thank you for listening and learning with me today!
