In addition, 80% of the cases and complaints received by regional police commissions were resolved and closed. In the same year, a total of 287,227,364 birr, 133,040 dollars, and 1890.045 euros were collected as fines from the resolved cases and complaints. Out of the 17 cases resolved by the Federal Police Commission in Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa, 5 cases were related to traffic violations. Out of the 22 cases resolved by regional police commissions, 11 cases were related to traffic violations. In 10 of these cases, fines were collected. The collection rate for fines in these cases was 90.91%. The overall collection rate for fines in the fiscal year was 85.45%.
