Week 1: Day 1: - Introduce the letter “A” and its sound. Day 3: - Introduce the letter “B” and its sound. Practice saying the sound together. - Read a simple book with lots of “B” words, such as “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin Jr. - Play a phonemic awareness game: Say a word and have the students identify the ending sound.

Day 4: - Review the letters “A” and “B” and their sounds. Practice writing the letters on whiteboards or paper. - Read a new book with “B” words, such as “Biscuit” by Alyssa Satin Capucilli. - Play a phonemic awareness game: Say a word and have the students identify the middle sound.

Day 5: - Introduce the letter “C” and its sound. Practice saying the sound together. - Read a simple book with lots of “C” words, such as “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault. - Play a phonemic awareness game: Say a word and have the students identify the rhyming word.

Week 2: Day 1: - Review the letters “A,” “B,” and “C” and their sounds. Practice writing the letters on whiteboards or paper. - Read a new book with “C” words, such as “Caps for Sale” by Esphyr Slobodkina. - Play a phonemic awareness game: Say a word and have the students identify the beginning, middle, and ending sounds.

Day 2: - Introduce the letter “D” and its sound. Practice saying the sound together. - Read a simple book with lots of “D” words, such as “Duck on a Bike” by David Shannon. - Play a phonemic awareness game: Say a word and have the students identify the number of syllables.

Day 3: - Review the letters “A,” “B,” “C,” and “D” and their sounds. Day 4: - Introduce the letter “E” and its sound. Practice saying the sound together. - Read a simple book with lots of “E” words, such as “Elephant & Piggie: We Are in a Book!” by Mo Willems. - Play a phonemic awareness game: Say a word and have the students identify the rhyming word.

Day 5: - Review the letters “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” and “E” and their sounds. Practice writing the letters on whiteboards or paper. - Read a new book with “E” words, such as “Eating the Alphabet” by Lois Ehlert. - Play a phonemic awareness game: Say a word and have the students identify the beginning, middle, and ending sounds.
