Day 2: Comprehension Strategies - Introduce and practice specific comprehension strategies, such as summarizing, visualizing, or questioning - Apply the strategies to the book by discussing and answering comprehension questions

Day 3: Word Work - Review sight words and high-frequency words from the book - Practice spelling and writing the words in different contexts - Play word games or do word puzzles to reinforce word recognition

Day 4: Writing Extension - Have students write a short response or summary of the book - Encourage them to use the vocabulary words and comprehension strategies learned - Provide feedback and guidance on their writing

Day 5: Assessment and Reflection - Administer a brief assessment to gauge students’ progress and understanding - Reflect on the guided reading group experience and discuss what was learned - Set goals for future reading and celebrate achievements
