Procedure:

Day 1:

  1. Introduction (10 minutes)
  • Begin the lesson by asking students if they have heard of global warming. Write their responses on the board.
  • Explain that global warming is a gradual increase in the Earth’s temperature caused by human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes.
  1. Causes of Global Warming (20 minutes)
  • Show a video on global warming and discuss the causes of global warming.
  • Ask students to brainstorm ways in which humans contribute to global warming.
  • Write their responses on the board and discuss each one.
  1. Effects of Global Warming (20 minutes)
  • Show a video on the effects of global warming and discuss the impact of global warming on the environment and human life.
  • Ask students to brainstorm ways in which global warming affects the environment and human life.
  • Write their responses on the board and discuss each one.
  1. Ways to Reduce the Effects of Global Warming (20 minutes)
  • Show a video on ways to reduce the effects of global warming and discuss ways in which we can reduce our carbon footprint.
  • Ask students to brainstorm ways in which they can reduce their carbon footprint.
  • Write their responses on the board and discuss each one.

Day 2:

  1. Review (10 minutes)
  • Review the previous day’s lesson by asking students to define global warming and its causes.
  1. Group Activity (30 minutes)
  • Divide students into groups of four.
  • Provide each group with a handout on global warming.
  • Ask each group to read the handout and discuss the causes, effects, and ways to reduce the effects of global warming.
  • Each group should create a chart paper with their findings.
  1. Presentation (30 minutes)
  • Ask each group to present their chart paper to the class.
  • Encourage students to ask questions and provide feedback.

Day 3:

  1. Conclusion (10 minutes)
  • Summarize the lesson by highlighting the causes, effects, and ways to reduce the effects of global warming.
  • Ask students to reflect on what they have learned.

Assessment:

  • Students will be assessed based on their participation in class discussions, group activity, and presentation.
