Hello Kindergarten friends! Today we are going to read a very special book called “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Eric Carle. This book is about a brown bear who sees many different animals and asks them what they see. Let’s get started!
As I read the book, I want you to listen carefully and think about what the animals see. After I finish reading, I will ask you some questions about the story. Are you ready? Let’s begin!

Great job listening! Now, let’s answer some questions about the story.
- Who is the main character in the story?
- What does the brown bear see first?
- What does the red bird see?
- What does the goldfish see?
- What does the teacher see?
Now, for our follow-up activity, we are going to create our own “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” book! Each of you will get a piece of paper and we will go around the room and ask each other “What do you see?” You can draw a picture of what you see on your paper. Then, we will put all of our pages together to make our own class book!
I hope you enjoyed reading “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” with me today. Remember to keep asking questions and using your imagination!
