1. Content (40%) - Clear and concise arguments presented - Evidence and examples used to support arguments - Logical and coherent structure of arguments - Relevance of arguments to the topic

2. Delivery (30%) - Clear and confident speaking - Appropriate tone and volume - Effective use of gestures and body language - Eye contact with the audience

3. Rebuttal (20%) - Effective counterarguments presented - Evidence and examples used to support counterarguments - Logical and coherent structure of counterarguments - Relevance of counterarguments to the opponent’s arguments

4. Teamwork (10%) - Effective collaboration and coordination within the team - Equal participation of all team members - Respectful and professional behavior towards opponents

Bands for a Debate:

Band 1 (90-100%) - Clear and concise arguments presented with strong evidence and examples - Logical and coherent structure of arguments - Confident and engaging delivery with effective use of gestures and body language - Effective counterarguments presented with strong evidence and examples - Excellent teamwork and collaboration within the team

Band 2 (80-89%) - Clear and concise arguments presented with good evidence and examples - Logical and coherent structure of arguments - Confident delivery with good use of gestures and body language - Effective counterarguments presented with good evidence and examples - Good teamwork and collaboration within the team

Band 3 (70-79%) - Arguments presented with some evidence and examples - Some logical and coherent structure of arguments - Delivery is somewhat confident with some use of gestures and body language - Counterarguments presented with some evidence and examples - Some teamwork and collaboration within the team

Band 4 (60-69%) - Arguments presented with limited evidence and examples - Limited logical and coherent structure of arguments - Delivery is hesitant with limited use of gestures and body language - Counterarguments presented with limited evidence and examples - Limited teamwork and collaboration within the team

Band 5 (below 60%) - Arguments presented with little or no evidence and examples - Poor structure of arguments - Delivery is unclear and ineffective with no use of gestures and body language - Counterarguments presented with little or no evidence and examples - Poor teamwork and collaboration within the team
