To analyze the performance of the students in three universities, we can calculate both the simple average and weighted average.

Simple Average: To calculate the simple average, we sum up the percentages of pass for each course and divide it by the total number of courses.

For Bombay University: Simple Average = (71 + 83 + 73 + 74 + 65 + 66) / 6 = 72.83

Weighted Average: To calculate the weighted average, we multiply the percentage of pass for each course by the number of students in that course, sum up these values, and divide it by the total number of students.

For Bombay University: Weighted Average = ((71 * 3) + (83 * 4) + (73 * 5) + (74 * 2) + (65 * 3) + (66 * 3)) / (3 + 4 + 5 + 2 + 3 + 3) = 72.06

Based on the simple average, the performance of the students in Bombay University is 72.83%. However, when considering the weighted average, which takes into account the number of students in each course, the performance drops slightly to 72.06%.

It is important to note that these averages only provide a general overview of the performance and do not take into account other factors such as the difficulty level of the courses or individual student achievements.
