Sales promotion is an important part of marketing that helps businesses boost their sales and increase brand awareness. It usually takes the form of an event, coupon, or discount to draw customers in and increase their interest in a particular product or service. In today’s digital world, sales promotions have become quite sophisticated, taking advantage of innovative technologies, social media, and other multimedia channels to reach a wider audience. In this study, we will examine various sales promotion schemes launched by various brands in the assigned product category.

  1. Samsung: Samsung offers a variety of promotions for its products, often in the form of discounts, bundle deals, and exclusive offers. For example, the company recently launched a promotion in which customers who purchase a Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ can get a free Gear VR headset and a $50 credit. Additionally, Samsung also runs an incentive program allowing customers to get a free Galaxy Note 10 when they trade-in an eligible device.

  2. Apple: Apple products are some of the most popular items on the market, and the company has a wide array of promotional activities to support its products. For example, Apple recently partnered with Verizon and Sprint to offer a monthly payment plan for iPhone owners. Doing so allows customers to get a new phone without having to pay the full price upfront. Apple also offers discounts on select products from time to time, such as the iPhone XS and XS Max, as well as discounts for students and academic institutions.

  3. LG: LG offer several promotions throughout the year that include discounts and bundle deals. One of the most interesting is their “Trade In and Trade Up” program. This offers customers the chance to trade in an eligible device and receive a rebate on their new LG product purchase. Additionally, LG runs discounts for special occasions such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

  4. Sony: Sony also offers a variety of promotional activities, including freebies and exclusive deals. For instance, Sony recently ran a promotion in which customers who purchased a new Sony TV would get a free movie ticket. Additionally, Sony also runs loyalty programs, offering awards and exclusive offers to returning customers.

In conclusion, different brands have different promotional strategies that target different audiences. Each company has developed a strategy to target specific demographics, appeal to their interests, and drive sales. However, the focus of all these campaigns is the same: to increase brand awareness, attract customers, and ultimately boost sales.
