Job Description: Radiologist in Maternal Health Care & Child Health Care Hospitals

Position: Radiologist Department: Maternal Health Care & Child Health Care Reports to: Medical Director

Job Summary: The Radiologist in Maternal Health Care & Child Health Care Hospitals is responsible for providing specialized diagnostic imaging services to pregnant women and children. They utilize various imaging techniques to diagnose and monitor conditions related to maternal health and child health. The Radiologist works closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients.

Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs on pregnant women and children. 2. Review and analyze patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging techniques and protocols. 3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement imaging plans for pregnant women and children. 4. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures, especially pregnant women and children. 5. Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to referring physicians and healthcare teams. 6. Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiology technology and techniques related to maternal health and child health. 7. Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols. 8. Collaborate with radiology technicians and other support staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care. 9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and contribute to treatment plans. 10. Provide guidance and supervision to resident physicians and medical students during their rotations in radiology.

Qualifications and Experience: 1. Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution. 2. Board certification in Radiology. 3. Completion of a fellowship or additional training in maternal health and child health radiology is preferred. 4. Valid medical license to practice as a Radiologist. 5. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in diagnostic radiology, with a focus on maternal health and child health. 6. Proficient in interpreting and analyzing various imaging modalities, including X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs. 7. Strong knowledge of maternal health and child health conditions and their radiological manifestations. 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and patients. 9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 10. Attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting and reporting radiological findings.
