Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate proper grip on their badminton racquet.

  2. Recognize the different positions in badminton.

  3. Perform different shots such as clear and drive shots.

  4. Understand the basic rules and strategies in playing badminton.

Activities:

  1. Introduction (5 minutes): Explain the equipment used, importance of safety, introduction to the basic rules of badminton.

  2. Posture and Grip Demonstration (15 minutes): Explain the different types of grip for holding the racquet and demonstrate the correct posture.

  3. Shooting Drill (20 minutes): Break the students into even pairs and have them practice the different shots such as the clear, drive, smash, drop, and net shots.

  4. Rules and Strategies Discussion (10 minutes): Explain and discuss the basic rules of badminton and the different strategies used in the game.

  5. Reflection and Summary (5 minutes): Ask the students for their feedback on the lessons, and summarize the main points that were discussed throughout the lesson.
