The first part of this assignment will be to research the concepts of graphs and discrete mathematics, and their application and relevance to the real world. Research topics should include:

• Definition and applications of graphs • Definition and applications of discrete mathematics • Examples of how discrete mathematics and graphs help us understand and solve real-world problems

Part 2: Application

Using the research you have completed, you will now apply the knowledge acquired to a real-world problem. Some examples you may use include:

• Route finding (finding the most efficient path) • Network analysis (analyzing the connections between entities) • Data analysis (analyzing trends and correlations between datasets) • Image processing (comparing images using graphs)

You should identify and solve a real-world problem using a graph and the principles of discrete mathematics. You must provide a written explanation of how and why your proposed solution works.
