By the end of the semester, the student will improve their ability to make inferences and draw conclusions from grade-level texts by correctly answering inferential questions with 70% accuracy in three out of five trials, as measured by teacher-created assessments and progress monitoring tools.

By the end of the academic year, the student will enhance their vocabulary and word recognition skills by correctly identifying and defining 100 new vocabulary words from grade-level texts, as measured by teacher-administered vocabulary quizzes and progress monitoring assessments.
