Introduction: Begin the lesson by asking the students if they know what a proper noun is. Explain that a proper noun is a specific name of a person, place, or thing. For example, “John” is a proper noun because it is the name of a specific person.

Lesson Outline: Day 1: 1. Introduce proper nouns and give examples. 2. Watch a video on proper nouns (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvJvOZvWjE0). 3. Have students identify proper nouns in a story or passage. 4. Complete a worksheet on proper nouns (https://www.education.com/download/worksheet/105238/proper-nouns.pdf).

Day 2: 1. Review proper nouns from the previous day. 2. Have students create a list of proper nouns they know. 3. Play a game where students take turns saying a proper noun and the class has to guess what it is. 4. Complete a second worksheet on proper nouns (https://www.teach-nology.com/worksheets/language_arts/nouns/proper/).

Questioning: Throughout the lesson, ask the students questions to check for understanding. For example: - What is a proper noun? - Can you give an example of a proper noun? - How do you know if a word is a proper noun?

Assessment: Assess the students’ understanding of proper nouns by having them complete the worksheets and participating in the game. You can also ask them to identify proper nouns in a passage or story.

Differentiation: For students who need extra support, provide them with a list of proper nouns to use during the game. For students who need a challenge, have them create a story using as many proper nouns as possible.

Plenary: At the end of the lesson, review the key points about proper nouns and ask the students to share something they learned. You can also have them complete an exit ticket where they write down one proper noun they learned during the lesson.
