Viewing (25 minutes): - Show the movie “The Man Who Sued God” in its entirety. - Encourage the students to take notes or jot down any thoughts or questions that come up during the viewing.
Discussion (10 minutes): - Ask the students to share their initial reactions to the movie. Did they enjoy it? Did it make them think about anything in particular? - Write the following questions on the board and ask the students to discuss them in pairs or small groups: - What is the main character’s search for meaning and value in life? - How does the movie explore the relationship between religion and the search for meaning? - What does the movie suggest about the role of community and social connections in finding meaning and value?
Conclusion (5 minutes): - Ask the students to share any final thoughts or questions they have about the movie or the theme of the search for meaning and value. - Encourage them to think about how they might apply some of the ideas from the movie to their own lives.
