Objective: Students will be able to analyze and interpret a text, identify key details, and make connections to their own lives.

Materials: - Copy of the text “A Real Virtual World” for each student - Tablet computers or laptops for each student - Drawing materials (paper, pencils, markers, etc.) - Chart paper and markers

Warm-up (5 minutes): 1. Begin the lesson by asking students if they have ever moved to a new place or felt bored in their current environment. 2. Have students share their experiences with a partner or in small groups. 3. Ask a few students to share their experiences with the whole class.

Introduction (5 minutes): 1. Distribute copies of the text “A Real Virtual World” to each student. 2. Read the title of the text aloud and ask students to make predictions about what the text might be about. 3. Write their predictions on the board or chart paper.

Reading and Comprehension (15 minutes): 1. Instruct students to read the text silently. 2. After reading, have students work in pairs or small groups to discuss the following questions: - What is the main idea of the text? - Who are the main characters? - What is the problem in the story? - How does the problem get resolved? 3. Bring the class back together and have a whole-class discussion to share their answers and thoughts.

Adaptive Learning Strategies (10 minutes): 1. Divide the class into three groups based on their reading abilities (high, medium, low). 2. Assign each group a specific task related to the text: - High-level group: Write a summary of the text in their own words. - Medium-level group: Create a visual representation of the virtual world described in the text. - Low-level group: Identify and write down five new vocabulary words from the text and their definitions. 3. Provide support and guidance to each group as needed.

Differentiated Activities (10 minutes): 1. Have students complete the following activities based on their reading abilities: - High-level students: Write a short story or continuation of the text, imagining what happens next. - Medium-level students: Write a letter to the main character, offering advice or encouragement. - Low-level students: Create a comic strip retelling the main events of the text. 2. Allow students to work individually or in pairs, depending on their preference and ability.

Differentiated Plenary (5 minutes): 1. Have each group share their work with the class. 2. Ask students to reflect on their learning and share one thing they learned or found interesting from the text. 3. Wrap up the lesson by revisiting the predictions made at the beginning and discussing how accurate they were.

Extension Activity: 1. For students who finish early or need an additional challenge, have them research and write a short report on virtual reality technology and its applications in various fields (e.g., gaming, education, healthcare). 2. Encourage students to include examples and real-life experiences to support their findings.
