Materials: - Computers or laptops with internet access - Projector or smartboard - Research methodology examples - Presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides)
Procedure:
- Introduction (5 minutes)
- Begin the lesson by explaining the importance of presenting research methodology in a clear and concise manner.
- Discuss how a well-presented methodology helps readers understand the research process and evaluate the validity of the findings.
- Review of Research Methodology (10 minutes)
- Remind students of the key components of a research methodology, such as research questions, data collection methods, and sources used.
- Show examples of well-written research methodologies to provide students with a visual representation of what they should aim for.
- Group Activity: Analyzing Research Methodologies (15 minutes)
- Divide the class into small groups and provide each group with a different research methodology example.
- Instruct the groups to analyze the example and identify the key components, strengths, and weaknesses of the presented methodology.
- After the analysis, ask each group to present their findings to the class, encouraging discussion and critical thinking.
