Course Overview: This course focuses on the range of diversity in eSports and gaming, how different cultures, genders, ages, and ethnicities interact within the gaming community, and how to create an inclusive space while gaming.

Course Goals:

• Understand the history and evolution of diversity in eSports and gaming • Identify the various types of diversity found in eSports and gaming • Analyze the importance of fostering an inclusive atmosphere in eSports and gaming • Create strategies for promoting engagement of minorities in eSports and gaming • Participate in discussions about diversity and foster collective solutions for advancing a more equitable and equitable gaming community

Assessment:

Final Project:

Students will create and present a final project to demonstrate their ability to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course. The project should be in the form of a strategy for promoting a more diverse and equitable environment in eSports and gaming.
