Deep in the ocean’s abyss, Where the light cannot persist, Lurks a creature, strange and grim, With a face that’s far from slim.
With a body like a blob, And a face that seems to throb, This creature is a sight to see, A wonder of the deep blue sea.
Its skin is slimy, cold and grey, And its eyes seem to betray, A sadness that’s hard to ignore, A feeling that’s hard to explore.
With a mouth that’s always open wide, And a body that seems to glide, This creature is a mystery, A puzzle of the deep blue sea.
It moves with grace, yet seems so slow, A creature that’s hard to know, But one thing’s for sure, it’s unique, A creature that’s hard to critique.
So if you ever find yourself, In the depths of the ocean’s shelf, Look out for the blobfish’s stare, And know that it’s always there.
