Title: “Discovering Me: A Journey of Self-Exploration”

Objective: The objective of this activity is to encourage participants to share and learn about each other’s unique qualities, interests, and experiences, fostering a sense of connection and understanding within the group.

Materials needed: 1. Paper or index cards 2. Writing utensils 3. Optional: Art supplies (colored pencils, markers, etc.)

Instructions: 1. Icebreaker: Begin the activity by having each participant introduce themselves briefly, including their name and one interesting fact about themselves.

  1. “My Life Map”: Provide each participant with a blank sheet of paper or an index card. Instruct them to create a visual representation of their life journey, including significant events, milestones, and experiences that have shaped them into who they are today. Encourage participants to use symbols, drawings, or words to represent these moments.

  2. “Five Favorites”: Ask participants to write down their top five favorite things in different categories, such as:
    • Favorite book/movie/song
    • Favorite hobby/activity
    • Favorite travel destination
    • Favorite food/drink
    • Favorite quote/saying
  3. “Two Truths and a Lie”: Have each participant write down two true statements about themselves and one false statement on a piece of paper or index card. Collect all the cards and read them aloud, allowing the group to guess which statement is the lie. After guessing, the participant can reveal the correct answer and share a brief story or explanation behind each statement.

  4. “Portrait of Me”: Provide participants with art supplies and ask them to create a self-portrait or a visual representation of themselves. Encourage creativity and self-expression. Once completed, participants can share their artwork with the group, explaining the symbolism or meaning behind their creation.

  5. “Life’s Soundtrack”: Ask participants to create a playlist of songs that represent different aspects of their life, such as childhood, teenage years, significant relationships, or personal achievements. Participants can share their playlists with the group, explaining the significance of each song choice.

  6. “Bucket List”: Have participants write down three things they would like to accomplish or experience in their lifetime. Encourage them to think big and dream without limitations. Afterward, participants can share their bucket list items with the group, discussing why these goals are important to them.

  7. Reflection and Discussion: Conclude the activity by facilitating a group discussion, allowing participants to reflect on what they have learned about themselves and others. Encourage open and respectful dialogue, fostering a sense of connection and understanding within the group.

Note: It is essential to create a safe and inclusive environment throughout the activity, ensuring that participants feel comfortable sharing as much or as little as they are comfortable with.
