Objective: To help students improve their letter formation skills.
Materials: - Writing paper - Pencil or pen
Instructions: 1. Start by choosing a letter that the student needs to work on. For example, the letter “a”. 2. Write the letter “a” on the board or on a piece of paper as a model for the student to follow. 3. Ask the student to practice writing the letter “a” on their own paper. Encourage them to take their time and focus on forming the letter correctly. 4. Once the student has written the letter “a” a few times, ask them to circle the best one they wrote. 5. Next, ask the student to write a word that starts with the letter “a” on their paper. For example, “apple”. 6. Encourage the student to use their best letter formation skills to write the word neatly and accurately. 7. Finally, ask the student to read the word they wrote out loud.
Variations: - Choose a different letter for each session. - Have the student write a sentence using the word they wrote. - Use different colored pencils or pens to make the activity more engaging. - Have the student write the letter in uppercase and lowercase forms.
