Title: The Story of Noah’s Ark

Objective: Students will learn about the story of Noah’s Ark and its significance in the Bible.

Materials: - Bible - Pictures of Noah’s Ark - Whiteboard and markers - Story of Noah’s Ark worksheet

Introduction: Begin the lesson by asking students if they have heard of the story of Noah’s Ark. Ask them what they know about it and if they have any questions. Write down their responses on the whiteboard.

Body: 1. Read the story of Noah’s Ark from the Bible (Genesis 6-9) or summarize it in your own words. Explain that God saw that the world was filled with wickedness and decided to flood the earth to start anew. However, God chose to save Noah and his family, along with two of every kind of animal, by having them build an ark.

  1. Show pictures of Noah’s Ark and explain its dimensions and features. Discuss how Noah and his family had to work hard to build the ark and gather all the animals.

  2. Discuss the significance of the story. Explain that the story of Noah’s Ark teaches us about God’s power and mercy. It also teaches us about obedience and faithfulness. Noah obeyed God’s command to build the ark and gather the animals, even though it seemed impossible. He had faith that God would protect him and his family.

  3. Have students complete the Story of Noah’s Ark worksheet. The worksheet includes questions about the story and a drawing activity.

Conclusion: Review the key points of the lesson and ask students if they have any questions. Emphasize the importance of obedience and faithfulness in our own lives. Encourage students to think about how they can apply the lessons from Noah’s Ark to their own lives.
