Objectives: At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify key physical and cultural differences between India and the United Kingdom.

Materials: - Maps of India and the United Kingdom - Comparison chart for students to fill out - Pictures of traditional clothing and flags of each country

Procedure: 1. Introduce the lesson topic and discuss the concept of countries. Ask the students: Can you name some countries? 2. Introduce the focus countries, India and the United Kingdom. On a map, locate and label both countries. 3. Break the class into two groups and give both groups a comparison chart to fill out. On each side, they should record the physical and cultural differences between India and the United Kingdom. Give them the following categories to compare: geography, climate, population, language, food, and traditional clothing. 4. Have students work together in their groups to fill out the comparison chart. Circulate the room and offer support and guidance as needed. 5. When both groups are finished, have student representatives from each group present their findings to the class. 6. Distribute pictures of traditional clothing and flags of each country for students to identify. 7. Lead the class in a discussion about what they learned. Ask the students for any closing thoughts or reflections.

Conclusion: Ask the students to briefly explain some of the key differences between India and the United Kingdom. Encourage them to use the findings they made while filling out the comparison chart in their explanations.
