Use examples to illustrate each component and discuss their importance in creating a well-structured paragraph.

Step 2: Writing a Topic Sentence (10 minutes): 1. Distribute handouts with paragraph examples to each student. 2. Instruct students to read the paragraphs and identify the topic sentence in each. 3. Discuss the topic sentences as a class, highlighting their clarity and relevance to the main idea. 4. Provide tips for writing effective topic sentences, such as being clear, concise, and specific.
