Introduction: In this lesson, we will learn about word stress and how it can affect the meaning of words. We will also practice identifying and pronouncing stressed syllables in words.
PRE-PART (Warm up/Ice breaker): 1. Word Stress Game: Divide the class into two teams. The teacher will say a word and the first team to correctly identify the stressed syllable gets a point. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. Example words: banana, computer, elephant, guitar, umbrella.
