Objective
At the end of the lesson students will be able understand the importance of regular and sufficient sleep, and be able to identify how a lack of sleep can be harmful both physically and mentally.

Introduction (5 minutes)
• Introduce yourself and explain the purpose and structure of the lesson. • Open a discussion about getting and needing sleep, allowing students to get an insight on personal sleep habits.
Main Activity (30 minutes)
• Introduce the purpose of the lesson. Explain the science behind sleep and the benefits of a good nights rest. • Talk about the different stages of sleep, and discuss why it’s important to get regular, sufficient sleep. • Finish by highlighting the consequences of sleep deprivation. • Pass out worksheets for the students to fill in, focusing on the physical and mental effects of sleep deprivation.
Closing (5 minutes)
• Have students recap what they learned during the lesson • Ask students to brainstorm ways they can improve their sleep habits and how they can help friends and family members who may be struggling with sleep
Evaluation
• Have students take a short quiz to measure their level of understanding. • Collect worksheets to assess student comprehension.
