Title: Introduction to Football

Lesson Plan:

    • Stations can include: a. Passing and catching: Students practice throwing and catching the football with a partner. b. Tagging: Students play a modified game of tag, where they try to tag each other while holding a football. d. Agility ladder: Students navigate through a ladder made of cones, practicing quick footwork and coordination.
  5. Mini-Game (5 minutes):
    • Gather students back together and explain that they will now play a mini-game of football.
    • Divide the class into two teams, assigning different colored pinnies or vests to each team.
    • Set up a small playing area and establish basic rules, such as no tackling or rough play.
    • Use a whistle to start and stop the game, emphasizing the importance of fair play and teamwork.
  6. Cool-down and Reflection (5 minutes):
    • Lead the class in a cool-down activity, such as slow stretching or deep breathing exercises.
    • Gather students in a circle and ask them to share one thing they learned or enjoyed about playing football today.
