Introduction (5 minutes):
Introduce the importance of feedback in a professional setting and to the adult learners’ development, emphasizing the fact that it can be both constructive and positive. Ask the adult learners to share their experiences with feedback, both positive and negative.

- Demonstrate techniques for giving specific, actionable and constructive feedback
- Discuss techniques for receiving feedback

Assessment (10 minutes):
Have the adult learners work together in pairs or small groups to write an example of both positive and negative feedback. Provide time for the groups to offer feedback to each other’s examples to help them understand the difference between providing constructive and destructive criticism.
Differentiation (5 minutes):
Have the adult learners create individual Learning Journals to document their experiences and progress. This will allow them to track their own development and use the entries to reflect on their growth or areas for improvement.
Plenary (5 minutes):
Review the key points of the lesson and ask the adult learners to reflect on their overall experience. Encourage them to share any key learnings or new insights with the class that they were able to take away from the lesson.
