Examples of constructive comments (e.g., “I like how you used bright colors,” “I think you could add more details to make it more interesting”).
Introduction (10 minutes): 1. Begin the lesson by showing the students different artworks and designs from various artists and designers. 2. Engage the students in a discussion by asking questions such as: - What do you notice about this artwork/design? - How does it make you feel? - What do you think the artist/designer was trying to express? 3. Write down their responses on chart paper or the whiteboard.
Main Activities (30 minutes): 1. Activity 1: Responding to Artwork - Provide each student with a piece of paper and art materials. - Show them a specific artwork/design and ask them to create their own artwork/design inspired by it. - Encourage them to think about their thoughts and feelings while creating their artwork/design. - After they finish, ask each student to share their artwork/design with the class and explain their thoughts and feelings behind it.
- Activity 2: Giving and Accepting Constructive Comments
- Explain to the students the importance of giving and accepting constructive comments to help improve their own and others’ work.
- Show examples of constructive comments and discuss their purpose.

- Instruct them to discuss the artwork/design and give constructive comments to each other.
