Introduction: - Begin by asking the children if they like listening to music and singing along to their favourite songs. - Explain that today, they will be listening to some pre-recorded songs and paying attention to the different instruments used in each song.

Lesson Outline: 1. Play a pre-recorded song for the children to listen to. 2. Ask the children to listen carefully to the song and try to identify the different instruments they can hear. 3. Play the song again, but this time encourage the children to sing along. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 with a few different songs, each time asking the children to identify the instruments they can hear. 5. As a group, discuss the different instruments that were used in each song.

Questioning: - What instruments did you hear in the song? - Can you name any of the instruments you heard? - Did you enjoy singing along to the song?

Assessment: - Observe the children as they listen to the songs and sing along. - Take note of any children who are able to identify the instruments used in each song.

Differentiation: - For children who may struggle to identify the instruments, provide visual aids such as pictures of the instruments or allow them to touch and feel the instruments. - For children who may be more advanced, challenge them to identify specific types of instruments (e.g. brass instruments, percussion instruments).

Plenary: - Recap the different instruments that were used in each song. - Ask the children which song was their favourite and why. - Encourage the children to continue listening to music and paying attention to the different instruments used in each song.
