Objective: - Students will be able to recognize and identify the numbers 1, 2, and 3. - Students will be able to read, make, and write the numbers 1, 2, and 3. - Students will develop their fine motor skills through hands-on activities.
Materials: - Number flashcards (1, 2, 3) - Whiteboard or chart paper - Markers or chalk - Playdough or clay - Worksheets (links provided below) - Pencils or crayons
Introduction (5 minutes): 1. Greet the students and introduce the topic of the lesson: Read, Make, and Write 1, 2, 3. 2. Show the number flashcards (1, 2, 3) to the students and ask if they recognize these numbers. 3. Engage the students by asking questions like: - Can you count to three? - What objects can you think of that come in groups of one, two, or three?
Lesson Outline: 1. Read (10 minutes): a. Display the number flashcard for “1” and ask the students to repeat the number after you. b. Show a picture or object representing one item (e.g., an apple) and ask the students to say “one.” c. Repeat the process for numbers 2 and 3, using different pictures or objects. d. Use the whiteboard or chart paper to write the numbers 1, 2, and 3, and have the students trace them with their fingers.

Make (15 minutes): a. Distribute playdough or clay to each student. b. Instruct the students to roll the playdough into long, thin ropes. c. Demonstrate how to shape the ropes into the numbers 1, 2, and 3. d. Encourage the students to make their own numbers using the playdough. e. Circulate around the classroom, providing assistance and guidance as needed.

Assessment: - Observe students’ participation and engagement during the lesson. - Assess students’ ability to recognize, make, and write the numbers 1, 2, and 3 through the completed worksheets.
Differentiation: - Provide additional support to students who may be struggling by offering one-on-one assistance during the activities. - For students who are more advanced, challenge them to write sentences using the numbers 1, 2, and 3.
Plenary (5 minutes): 1. Review the numbers 1, 2, and 3 with the students. 2. Ask the students to share one thing they learned about these numbers today. 3. Congratulate the students on their hard work and participation.
