Teacher explains the topic and introduces the lesson objective, “Today, we will learn how to listen and talk about text sources. We will discuss which sources we like, and why.”

On the chart paper, teacher lists different text sources, such as “books, magazines, blogs, magazines, newspapers, YouTube videos, and social media posts”.

Teacher selects a student to explain what a text source is. Student defines text source as “anything that contains written words or a combination of words and pictures that people use to communicate”.

Teacher introduces the story books to the class and has the students share what they like about a particular text source.
