  • Flashcards with family members’ names and pictures
  • Whiteboard and markers
  • Worksheets with simple sentences about families

Introduction (10 minutes):

  • Greet the students and introduce the topic of families.
  • Show the picture book about families and ask the students to identify the different family members.
  • Use the flashcards to introduce the names of family members and ask the students to repeat after you.

Main Activity (30 minutes):

  • Use the whiteboard to write simple sentences about families, such as “My dad is tall” or “My sister likes to play soccer.”
  • Read the sentences aloud and ask the students to repeat after you.
  • Ask the students to identify the patterns and sounds in the sentences, such as rhyming words or alliteration.
  • Have the students practice saying the sentences with a partner, focusing on using clear pronunciation and emphasizing the patterns and sounds.
  • Give each student a worksheet with simple sentences about families and ask them to read the sentences aloud and identify the patterns and sounds.

Conclusion (10 minutes):

  • Ask the students to share one thing they learned about families or language patterns.
  • Review the names of family members and ask the students to introduce themselves and their family using the flashcards and simple sentences.
  • Encourage the students to continue exploring and playing with language patterns and sounds in their everyday conversations.
