Introduction: Welcome the children to the lesson and introduce the topic of the day. For example, “Today we are going to learn about colors. We will explore different colors and learn their names.”

Lesson Outline: 1. Start with a color sorting activity. Provide the children with a tray of objects of different colors and ask them to sort them by color. 2. Introduce the names of the colors by showing them flashcards or using colored objects. 3. Play a color matching game where the children match objects of the same color. 4. Sing a color song or read a book about colors. 5. End the lesson with a coloring activity where the children can practice using different colors.

Questioning: Ask open-ended questions to encourage the children to think and participate in the lesson. For example, “What color is this?” “Can you find something else that is red?”

Assessment: Observe the children during the lesson to assess their understanding of the concept. You can also ask them questions or have them complete a worksheet to assess their knowledge.

Differentiation: Provide different levels of difficulty for the activities to cater to the different abilities of the children. For example, you can provide more challenging objects for the color sorting activity for children who are more advanced.

Plenary: Review the lesson by asking the children to name the colors they learned and show them the objects they sorted earlier. Encourage them to use the colors they learned in their everyday life.
