Activities on Literacy and Numeracy (30 minutes):
- Phonics: Introduce the letter ‘A’ and its sound. Show flashcards with pictures of objects that start with the letter ‘A’ (e.g. apple, ant, etc.). Ask children to identify the objects and say the sound of the letter ‘A’. Repeat with other letters.

- Storytime: Read a storybook to the children and ask them questions related to the story. For example, “What was the name of the main character?” or “What happened at the end of the story?”
Assessment (10 minutes):
- Ask each child to identify a letter or number from the flashcards or worksheets.
- Ask each child to count a set of objects and say the number aloud.
- Observe each child’s participation and engagement in the activities.
Differentiation:
- For children who are struggling with counting, provide them with smaller sets of objects to count.

- For children who are advanced in their literacy and numeracy skills, provide them with more challenging worksheets or flashcards.
Plenary (5 minutes):
