Materials: - Access to cannabis products - Access to product info and description materials

  1. Introduction (5 minutes): Introduce the student to the role of the lead budtender and the expectations that come with it. Explain the importance of proper product knowledge and customer service.

  2. The Basics of Cannabis Product Knowledge - Lecture (25 minutes): Outline the basic types of cannabis products, from flowers to concentrates to edibles and regional variations seasonality. Discuss their key characteristics such as THC and CBD levels, appearcance and smeel.

  3. Understanding Different Types of Strains (15 minutes): Go over the classification of the different strains, including indica, sativa and hybrid, as well as their effects and tastes.

  4. Review Products Available (10 minutes): Review the specific products that are currently available for sale, going over product descriptions and discussing any distinguishing details.

  5. Role-Play Scenario (20 minutes): Practice combining the new knowledge of cannabis products with the customer service expectations associated with the lead budtender role. The student can play the role of the budtender, interacting with the instructor as a customer.

  6. Assessment (10 minutes): Ask the student to answer any relevant questions to assess their understanding of the materials.

  7. Wrap-Up (10 minutes): Answer any final questions, provide any additional resources, and explain the expectation of applying the newly gained knowledge in their role as a lead budtender.
