Lesson Plan: The Three Major Economic Questions

Introduction (5 minutes): 1. Greet the students and explain that today’s lesson will focus on understanding the three major economic questions. 2. Ask the students if they have ever wondered how goods and services are produced and distributed in our society. 3. Share that economists ask three important questions to guide the production and distribution of goods and services.
Lesson Outline: 1. Presenting the Three Major Economic Questions (10 minutes): a. Write the three major economic questions on the board: - What to produce? - How to produce? - For whom to produce? b. Explain each question briefly, providing examples and relating them to the students’ daily lives. c. Show the video resource “The Three Major Economic Questions Explained” to reinforce understanding.
