Introduction: 1. Greet the students and explain the purpose of the lesson. 2. Show the students the alphabet flashcards or chart and review the order of the letters. 3. Engage the students by asking them if they know what alphabetical order means and when it is used in everyday life (e.g., dictionaries, phonebooks, library catalogs). 4. Explain that today, they will learn how to arrange words and names in alphabetical order.
Lesson Outline: 1. Introduce the concept of alphabetical order: a. Write a few words on the board, such as “cat,” “dog,” “apple,” and “banana.” b. Ask the students to identify the first letter of each word and discuss how the words can be arranged in alphabetical order. c. Write the words in alphabetical order on the board and explain the process.
