Provide additional examples of common nouns and proper nouns, emphasizing the capitalization of proper nouns.

IV. Elaborate (Elaborate) - 15 minutes A. Divide the students into pairs or small groups. B. Provide each group with a set of index cards containing various nouns (common and proper). C. Instruct the students to sort the nouns into two categories: common nouns and proper nouns. D. Encourage students to discuss their choices and justify their categorization.

V. Evaluate (Evaluate) - 5 minutes A. Conduct a whole-class discussion to review the sorting activity. B. Use the assessment rubric to evaluate students’ understanding of nouns, common nouns, and proper nouns.

VI. Differentiation: A. For students who need additional support, provide visual aids or examples during the sorting activity. B. For advanced students, challenge them to create sentences using both common and proper nouns.
