Lesson Plan: Revision of Colours and Names of Wild Animals

Introduction: - Begin the lesson by displaying a variety of colorful pictures of wild animals on the board. - Engage the students by asking them to name the animals and identify the colors they see. - Explain that today’s lesson will focus on revising colors and learning the names of wild animals.

Lesson Outline: 1. Warm-up Activity (5 minutes): - Play a short video or display a colorful image of a rainbow. - Ask the students to name the colors they see in the rainbow. - Encourage them to use descriptive words to describe the colors.

  1. Revision of Colors (10 minutes):
    • Display flashcards or use colored objects to represent different colors.
    • Call out a color and ask the students to identify objects in the classroom that match that color.
    • Repeat the activity with different colors, encouraging students to participate actively.
  2. Introduction to Wild Animals (10 minutes):
    • Show a video or use pictures to introduce various wild animals.
    • Pronounce the names of the animals clearly and ask the students to repeat after you.
    • Discuss where these animals can be found and some interesting facts about them.
  3. Questioning and Discussion (15 minutes):
    • Show flashcards or pictures of different wild animals.
    • Ask questions such as:
      • What is the name of this animal?
      • What color is this animal?
      • Where does this animal live?
    • Encourage students to answer the questions individually or in pairs.
  4. Assessment (10 minutes):
    • Distribute a worksheet with pictures of wild animals and blank spaces for students to write the names and colors.
    • Monitor their progress and provide assistance if needed.
    • Collect the worksheets for evaluation.

Differentiation: - For students who need additional support, provide them with a word bank or simplified worksheets. - For advanced students, challenge them to write sentences describing the animals using the colors and names learned.

Plenary: - Recap the lesson by reviewing the names of wild animals and their colors. - Ask a few students to share their favorite animal and describe it using colors. - Conclude the lesson by playing a fun animal-themed song or game.
