Lesson Plan: The Impact of Technology

Grade Level: Primary 5

Objective: Students will be able to understand the impact of technology on society and the environment.

Materials: - Computer or tablet with internet access - Whiteboard and markers - Handouts with questions and activities - Videos and resources on the impact of technology

Introduction (10 minutes): - Begin by asking students what technology means to them and how they use it in their daily lives. - Write down their responses on the whiteboard. - Explain that technology has changed the way we live, work, and communicate with each other.

Body (40 minutes): - Show a video on the impact of technology on society and the environment. - After the video, ask students to share their thoughts and opinions on what they saw. - Divide the class into groups and give each group a handout with questions and activities related to the impact of technology. - Allow students to work in their groups to complete the activities and answer the questions. - Walk around the classroom to provide assistance and answer any questions. - After the groups have completed their activities, bring the class back together to discuss their findings and share their answers.

Assessment (10 minutes): - Ask students to write a short paragraph on what they learned about the impact of technology. - Collect their paragraphs and review them to assess their understanding of the topic.

Differentiation: - For students who need extra support, provide them with additional resources and examples to help them understand the impact of technology. - For students who need a challenge, ask them to research and present on a specific aspect of the impact of technology.
