Focus: طاعة الوالدين (obedience to parents)
Introduction:
- Begin the lesson by asking the children if they know what religion is and if they know any religions.
- Introduce the concept of world religions and explain that there are many different religions in the world.
- Ask the children if they know what it means to be fair and unfair, and why it is important to care for, share and cooperate with others.
Activity 1: Exploring World Religions
- Show the children pictures of different religious symbols and ask if they can identify any of them.
- Explain briefly what each symbol represents and which religion it belongs to.
- Encourage the children to ask questions and share their own experiences of religion.
Activity 2: Learning about طاعة الوالدين
- Explain to the children that in many religions, including Islam, it is important to obey and respect one’s parents.
- Read a story or show a video that illustrates the importance of obedience to parents.
- Discuss with the children why it is important to obey and respect one’s parents, and how this can help us to be fair and caring towards others.
Activity 3: Sharing and Cooperating
- Divide the children into small groups and give each group a task to complete together, such as building a tower out of blocks or drawing a picture.
- Encourage the children to work together, share their ideas and resources, and help each other to complete the task.
- After the task is completed, ask the children to reflect on how they felt working together and what they learned about caring and cooperating with others.
Conclusion:
- Summarize the key points of the lesson, including the importance of understanding and respecting different religions, obeying and respecting one’s parents, and caring for and cooperating with others.
- Ask the children to share one thing they learned or enjoyed about the lesson.
