Introduction:

  • Begin the lesson by asking the students if they have ever heard a science story before. Ask them to share what they know about science stories.

  • Tell the students that today, they will be learning about science stories and how they can help us understand the world around us.

Main Activity:

  • Show the students a science storybook or a video about a science story. Choose a story that is appropriate for their age and level.
  • Read or watch the story with the students, pausing at key points to ask questions and check for understanding.
  • After the story, ask the students to share what they learned from the story. Encourage them to use scientific vocabulary and concepts.
  • Divide the students into small groups and give each group a different science storybook or video to explore.
  • In their groups, the students should read or watch the story and discuss what they learned. They should also come up with questions to ask the other groups about their stories.
  • Bring the groups back together and have them share what they learned and ask their questions. Encourage discussion and debate.

Conclusion:

  • Ask the students to reflect on what they learned about science stories and how they can help us understand the world around us.
  • Have the students draw a picture or write a sentence about what they learned from the science story they explored in their group.
  • Collect the drawings or sentences and use them to create a class display about science stories.
