C. Secure Systems Engineering Overview (15 minutes) -Explain the fundamentals of secure systems engineering -Discuss asset identification and system security -Introduce risk management, authentication & authorization -Discuss system isolation, encryption and malware protection

II. Discussion & Participation A. Designing Secure Networks and Systems (15 minutes) -Discuss best practices for designing secure networks and systems -Expand on asset identification & security -Discuss authentication, authorization and management of risk -Introduce system isolation, encryption & malware protection

B. Risk Assessments & Threats (10 minutes) -Discuss how to identify threats and vulnerabilities in secure systems -Discuss risk assessment and mitigation strategies

C. Case Study & Group Activity (30 minutes) -Present case study on secure systems engineering -Break into groups and discuss solutions to the case study -Encourage each group to explain their solutions to the class
