Objective: For students to explore nature and have fun outside

Materials:
- Nature-based art supplies (moss, leaves, twigs, paint, etc) - Camera - Chalk - Rope - Blanket

Introduction (5 minutes): Welcome the students to nature and discuss why it is important to be outside. Explain that they will now go out and explore nature and they will be able to create something while they explore that they can take home.

Exploration (15 minutes): Have the students put on their outside shoes and grab their materials (nature-based art supplies, camera, chalk, rope, and blanket). Tell them that it is time for exploration - have the students take a walk around the backyard/yard and have them take pictures, pick up nature items, draw on the ground with chalk, and use the rope to swing.

Creations (30 minutes): Once they are done exploring, explain to the students that they can now move to the blanket and use the supplies they gathered to create something. Have them go back to the supplies and pick items that they want to use to create their own masterpiece.

Wrap Up (5 minutes): Thank the students for creating their art, have them review what they did this lesson, and talk about why it is important to explore nature. Thank them for all their hard work and have them put away their materials.
