Introduction: The lesson plan is designed for A2/A2+ level adolescents or adults. The aim of the lesson is to improve the students’ speaking and listening skills by discussing the topic of travel. The lesson will be divided into three parts: pre-lesson, main lesson, and post-lesson. The pre-lesson will involve watching a video and completing a worksheet. The main lesson will involve group discussions and role-plays. The post-lesson will involve a reflection activity.

Lesson Outline: Pre-lesson: 1. Watch the video “Travel Vocabulary” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZJzDZzvJZw) 2. Complete the worksheet “Travel Vocabulary” (https://www.eslprintables.com/vocabulary_worksheets/travel/travel_vocabulary/Travel_Vocabulary_100853/)

Main Lesson: 1. Warm-up: Ask the students about their travel experiences and preferences. 2. Group Discussion: Divide the students into groups of 3-4 and give them a list of questions to discuss. (Example questions: What is your favorite travel destination? Why? What is the most interesting place you have visited? Why? What is the best way to travel? Why?) 3. Role-play: Divide the students into pairs and give them a scenario to act out. (Example scenario: You are at the airport and your flight has been delayed. Discuss the situation and come up with a solution.) 4. Feedback: Ask the students to share their discussions and role-plays with the class.

Post-lesson: 1. Reflection: Ask the students to reflect on what they have learned and how they can apply it to their future travels.

Questioning: 1. What is your favorite travel destination? Why? 2. What is the most interesting place you have visited? Why? 3. What is the best way to travel? Why? 4. What would you do if your flight was delayed?

Assessment: The students will be assessed based on their participation in the group discussions and role-plays. They will also be assessed based on their ability to use the travel vocabulary in their discussions.

Differentiation: For students who struggle with speaking, they can be given more time to prepare their responses. For students who struggle with vocabulary, they can be given a list of travel vocabulary words to use in their discussions.

Plenary: The plenary will involve a reflection activity where the students will share what they have learned and how they can apply it to their future travels.
