Assessment
Once each lesson has been taught, allow staff to test their understanding of the material with a quick individual or group assessment focusing on the main points of the lesson.
Differentiation
Differentiation will be a major focus throughout the entire workshop, but staff should be encouraged to identify different learning styles in their own students and work to accommodate them.
Questioning
At the start of each lesson, use open-ended questions to evaluate the staff’s understanding of the material. Make sure to ask more than one question per lesson to cover each of the key points.
Plenary
At the end of the workshop, provide time for staff to share their experiences with the material and ask any remaining questions. Encourage them to discuss how they will apply their new understanding of teaching skills in their classrooms.
