Lesson Plan: Expressing Wishes, Regret and Criticism

Materials: - Handout with vocabulary related to expressing wishes, regret and criticism - Presentation slides with grammar structures and examples - Speaking and writing activities
Procedure:

Warm-up (5 minutes) - Ask students to share a wish they have for the future. - Elicit some examples and write them on the board. - Ask students to share a regret they have from the past. - Elicit some examples and write them on the board.

Vocabulary (10 minutes) - Hand out the vocabulary handout and ask students to match the words with their definitions. - Review the answers as a class and clarify any questions.

Grammar (15 minutes) - Present the grammar structures for expressing wishes, regret and criticism using the presentation slides. - Provide examples and ask students to identify the structure used. - Clarify any questions and provide additional examples if necessary.
