Goals:
• Understand what is meant by product/market fit for a banking app • Develop criteria for determining when a banking app has reached product/market fit • Understand the various steps that can be taken to drive product/market fit for a banking app
Materials: • PowerPoint presentation • Whiteboards/markers • Relevant research and case studies
Time: • 60-90 minutes
Activity 1: Introduction & Overview (15 minutes)
• Ask students to explain their understanding of product/market fit in their own words • Provide PowerPoint presentation with examples of how customers and businesses may view product/market fit differently • Describe product/market fit as a perfect alignment between customer demand and a product or services features and capabilities
Activity 2: Exploring Criteria (30 minutes)
• Divide the students into groups of 4-5
• Ask each group to come up with criteria to assess whether a banking app has achieved product/market fit
• Give students 10-15 minutes to work within their groups
• each group to present their criteria and explain the rationale behind their choices
Activity 3: Research & Case Studies (30 minutes)
• Provide case studies and research papers that discuss strategies for achieving product/market fit for a banking app • Ask students to create a report discussing the strategies discussed in the research and case studies they were provided with • Give each student 5-10 minutes to create their report
Activity 4: Summarizing and Conclusion (15 minutes)
• Ask students to present their findings to the class • Summarize key points and discuss the importance of product/market fit for a banking app • Provide additional resources for further study and exploration • Ask students to complete a brief feedback survey about the lesson
