Objective: At the end of the lesson, S3 pupils should be able to identify, plan and develop their own possession games for their peers.

Materials: - Whiteboard - Markers - Chalkboard or flipchart - Colored pieces of paper - Wax crayons or chalks

Warm-up: Start off the lesson by asking S3 pupils what they know about possession games. Let them answer the first few questions and reiterate some of the things they said, such as: possession games involve controlling the ball and maintaining possession of it as a team.

Explaining the activities: Next, introduce the activities by explaining the goals of each one. Divide the group into two teams, giving each team pieces of colored paper to decide a team name. Explain that each team will create a possession game for their peers to play. Be sure to go over the rules of the activities, such as shooting techniques, passing techniques, and so on.

Practice: Split the class into two teams and have them practice their possession games. Let each team demonstrate their game to the other team and let them play it. Encourage them to work together and develop different strategies.

Evaluation: Once each team is finished, have a discussion with the class about the different strategies they used. Ask them to reflect on what went well and what could be improved. Make sure to praise any good strategies that they used.

Conclusion: Finally, have the class come together and explain the concepts they have learned in this lesson. Ask students to offer suggestions to make the games more fun and interactive. Be sure to emphasize the importance of communication and teamwork.
